Leaving for Panama tomorrow!

We are leaving for Panama City Beach in the morning! It’s going to be hard to sleep tonight, but if I don’t I will be tired on our first day down there. We have the van packed and ready to go. I just hope I didn’t forget anything. I am glad Kecia and James are getting to go with us. Kecia hasn’t been on a family vacation since her senior trip in 2002. I’m sure Zach will like that another guy is going so he’ll have someone to swim and skim board with.

Today the whole family went to the portrait studio to have our picture made for the football program. Since Krista is a senior in band this year, she will be recognized in the book and out on the field at the first football game. It’s hard to believe my children are growing up so fast!

Awful Headache Yesterday

07.25.2008 | 11:44 am | General | Tags:

I was sitting in the doctor’s office yesterday awaiting my mother’s appointment when I started getting a headache. :( I don’t know if it was because of their bright commerical lighting or the fact that it was 3pm I hadn’t eaten all day (maybe a combo of the two), but I rarely get headaches. When I do, I want nothing more than to lay in bed and sleep until the pain goes away. The way I see it, if I can get to sleep, I won’t know I’m hurting!

I’ll be shopping online!

Sheesh! Shopping for babies can become exhausting. Just thinking about all the things new parents need makes my head hurt. Plus, thinking about all the time spent walking down aisles upon aisles at various stores makes my feet hurt. I think, when the time comes for me to start shopping for a grandbaby, I will try to do the majority of my shopping online. No lines or crowds, and I wouldn’t have to worry about how I’m going to lug the heavy baby furniture home when it’s coming straight to the door!

Check out the adorable baby bedding

If you are in the market for some adorable baby bedding sets, you need to check BabyBox.com . I personally like the safari set featured in yellow. The little monkeys are so cute, and yellow is a great color if you do not find out the baby’s gender before he/she is born. This website has some of the cutest crib bedding I’ve ever seen…I have so many favorite sets on there! I wouldn’t know which set to actually purchase if Kecia was to get pregnant!

Mamabebe: Cute Baby Items

If you are expecting soon (or perhaps throwing a shower for someone who is), you should really check out MamaBebe.com. They have the cutest personalized baby gifts that are also suitable for toddlers. I personally like the puzzle stool…It would make such a nice 2nd or 3rd birthday present. The site also offers a wide selection of baby shower favors at an affordable price.

Save on Titanium Rings!

Check out this coupon I found for Titanium-Jewelry.com. They have a great selection of mens wedding bands, along with jewelry for other occasions. I’d look for Dewayne something if he would wear it, just because I love using coupons!

If you are in the market for mens jewelry, I definitely recommend you check out this site soon. You can access the website by clicking the image!

Pigs in a Blanket

Since July is all about Independence Day and cook outs, I thought I’d share a quick and easy recipe I often make for get togethers…

Pigs in a Blanket/Mini Hot Dogs

1 11.5 oz can of refrigerated cornbread twists
1 pkg Little Smokies

Seperate bread twists into strips.
Cut strips in half.
Wrap each strip around center of 1 Little Smokie, pinching edges to seal.
Place, seam side down, on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees F 12 minutes or until golden.
