There’s something that I would like (maybe for Christmas…it’s not that far away). I would like a new pair of diamond earrings. But they have got so expensive, so I would like to know that I am getting what I pay for. So I’m looking at some certified diamonds online. Of course, there is a lot of other things that I would like for Christmas too. I would also like a new camera. I’ve been looking at a Nikon but then I would have to learn how to use it. I really like taking pictures. So I guess I have already started making my Christmas list of things that I would like.

In my last post, I talked about horseback riding (an activity that one of my nephews enjoys). Well, to care for a horse is something that I wouldn’t have a clue about. My nephew has all kinds of horse supplies that I don’t even know what they are. I’ve always had dogs for pets and I’m getting a little educated about chickens. My son has developed a big interest in chickens and so I’m learning. He started out with four chickens (3 hens and 1 rooster) and now he has about fifteen to twenty chickens total. But my pet of choice is dogs. And maybe when I get out of college, I might get me a house dog. I know a dog in the house can be a lot of trouble. My daughter and son-in-law have a house dog and it can be troublesome when you want to getaway for the weekend. But dogs can be so much fun. Well, it doesn’t really matter right now, I’ve got four years to think about it.

There is so many different hobbies and activities that people like to do. Like horseback riding (I have a nephew and cousin that likes doing this) and riding motorcycles (again I have some cousins that do this) but I don’t think either of these activities are for me. I guess I’m just a big chicken. My nephew and cousin are occasional horseback riders, they’re not serious riders with riding habits and riding breeches. They just ride for fun but I would be scared to pieces. I mean, a horse has its own mind and you really never know what it might would do if spooked. And then motorcycle riding, well let me just put it this way…there’s nothing between you and the pavement. Scary?!?!? I guess that’s the thrill, riding down the road with the wind blowing through your hair. But that’s not for me. I’m more of the reading a good book, fishing in a boat and swimming in the pool kind of person. I’m just not a thrill seeker.

I’ve been thinking that when I start college (classes start tomorrow) that I might lose some weight. I will be working all day and then leaving there to go to classes right after. So maybe I will shed a few pounds. But I also thought about looking for a good fat burner but they scare me a little bit. So maybe with classes starting and then I’ll be changing my eating habits at dinner time, maybe that will be enough to lose weight. My biggest downfall is the eating that I do in the evenings. I usually stop by my mother-in-law’s house for dinner (she’s a great cook but just not the healthiest) and then later I have a snack (ice cream is a favorite), so now I will be eating a lighter dinner. I’ll be posting about my weight loss (if any). Wish me luck with my weight loss and my classes.

Well, it’s not really amazing, it’s kinda sad. The news can be depressing. On the local news this week, I’ve been hearing about a guy shot to death by the local police. Yes, he had a weapon but they shot about 60 rounds in him. And now there’s an investigation (and my opinion, there should be). I’m not defending the guy…but 55 to 60 rounds. Needless to say, the guy didn’t make it. Another local story, a 5 week old baby girl beatened to death by her intoxicated father. I don’t understand why??? There’s nothing that 5 week old baby could do to deserve that. Maybe that father should meet the cops that I was just talking about. And you hear about car accidents all the time, it’s all so tragic. There’s was a motorcycle accident a couple of months ago, both people (a man and pregnant woman) were killed. I was reading about a Tacoma car accident lawyer and he stated that most of the personal injury lawsuits was from car accidents. And most of them is due to negligence. Well, these are some things that’s been on my mind lately.
