Four Foods On Friday 50
Here are this week’s four questions.
#1. Pasta. How do you tell when it’s done? Do you cook on medium or high? I usually start out on high and then turn it down to medium. After about 10 minutes, I check it and it is usually.
#2. Deep frying. What kind of oil do you use? We usually use Canola Oil.
#3. Grilling. Do you grill on foil or directly on the grill? We use aluminum foil on the grill.
#4. Share a recipe that involves cooking something two different ways.Example, for lasagna you might fry the meat and bake the whole dish.
Easy Skillet Taco Pie
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 Old El Paso taco dinner kit
2/3 cup water
1 can (16 oz.) Old El Paso refried beans
2 cups shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 can whole kernel sweet corn, drained
In 10-inch skillet, brown ground beef; drain. Stir in taco seasoning mix and water; heat until hot. Break taco shells into bite-size pieces. Layer refried beans, half of the broken taco shells, 1 cup of the cheese, the salsa and corn on top of the beef in the skillet. Top with remaining broken taco shells and cheese. Cover; heat about 10 minutes or until hot. Serve immediately. Makes 6 servings. Start to Finish: 30 minutes.
Wow I think I have all the ingredients for that recipe here. I might give that a try next week since our dinners are planned for the next 2 nights.

That looks like a nice, easy recipe to try. I love anything with the name taco in it.

Tacos, yumm. I used to throw in some shredded lettuce as well to add some greens but I’ve never used corn.

That recipe sounds yummy! I think I’d also add a can of diced tomatoes with jalapenos.
