Four Foods On Friday 54

Here are this week’s four questions.

#1. Name a food you like that uses a red sauce or anything red in it.

Chicken Nachos from my favorite Mexican restaurant with some salsa spooned on top.
#2. Name a food you like with whipped cream in it or on it.

A Vanilla Bean Frappuccino from Starbucks…if you can call it a food.
#3. Name a food you like with blueberry in it.

I like blueberry muffins. Otherwise, I’m not a big fan of blueberries.
#4. Share a recipe for pasta or dessert or a beverage.

Easy Apple Pie

  • 5 medium Granny Smith or any tart apple
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar (more or less…depends on your taste)
  • 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 frozen regular pie shells (not deep dish)

Peel and chop (or slice, whichever you prefer) the apples in a bowl. Then add the cinnamon sugar and toss until the apples are coated. Pour into one of the pie shells. Drop little pieces of the butter around on top of the apples. Then put the other pie shell on top and crimp the edges to seal. Cut slits in the top for steam to escape. I bake by the directions on the package of pie shells for a filled pie. I hope you enjoy this recipe. I know my family sure does especially my father-in-law.

Have a GREAT day!!

  5. That sounds like an easy apple pie recipe. I use Cortland apples in my pies. They are a bit tart but not sour.
