Flooring for the Garage????

What do you get for the person (male) that seems to have everything? Well, I talked to my daughter, Kecia about what she is getting for her husband for Christmas. And, we were looking at some garage flooring for James. I think that would be an excellent idea. I’ve seen some garages with flooring and they look really good. The best thing about gararge flooring is that they are easy to install and remove. So if they ever move from their house and then they can take the flooring with them. So I think this would make a great Christmas present for James or any man who takes pride in his garage.

Christmas Shopping

I’ve already begun my Christmas shopping, but there is a few people on my list that are hard to buy for. My mama is one of them, but I have been looking at a heated blanket. Mama stays cold all the time and I think a heated blanket would me an excellent Christmas gift. Of course, she has been needing a new cordless telephone. Maybe she is not going to be as hard to buy for as I first thought she was. Well, it seems that Zach is going to be another hard one to buy for this year. It seems to change every year, one year it’s Kecia that hard to buy for and then it’s Krista. But this year of all three of my children, I think Zach is going to be the hard one this year.

I’m getting ready…

This past weekend, Krista and I did some more shopping (the guys went hunting) and finally finished decorating our Christmas tree. Friday, I got some really great deals online at Old Navy (I had to place the order by midnight Friday to get twenty percent off and free shipping) plus we did some shopping in town. I got Krista a new pocketbook and wallet for Christmas. And I also got her the new Nicholas Sparks book “The Lucky One.” On Saturday, we took my little nephew to have breakfast with Santa and then we came home and finished decorating the tree.

A Gift for Zach

I was thinking about a gift for Zach (my fourteen year old son) for Christmas. And I’m thinking about getting him a pair of binoculars. He loves the outdoors…always hunting or fishing. I’ve been researching and I’m considering a pair of Nikon binoculars.  They are really rugged, lightweight and they even come in camo, which would be great for use during hunting season. Zach has already asked for a new fishing reel but I always like to get a few gifts that are complete surprises and I think he would absolutely love them.

A Good Saturday…

I had a good day yesterday. I didn’t have to work so I got some work done around the house. In the evening, I went and picked up my mom to go watch the Christmas parade. It started at six that evening and was led by the sheriff, ROTC and then the band (it was Krista’s last Christmas parade) it was a really good parade. Afterwards, Krista and I took my mom to do her Christmas shopping. We went to the mall and got all her shopping done at Goody’s (it’s a family clothing store) and she got some really good deals. Then we headed over to Wal-Mart to do some grocery shopping. It was 11:15 before we got out of there. Mama said that it was the latest that she had been out shopping in a long time. But I think she had a good time.  Oh, I about forgot I did some shopping for my husband….he got me a quilted jacket. Yeah, I got my gift from him last night (at least I know I’m getting what I want). There’s a lady from work that has a quilted jacket and she wore it last week and I really liked it. So Goody’s had them and they were on sale plus yesterday you could take an additional 25% off a single item….so I got a really good deal on it.

So we had a great evening….just me, mama and Krista. But Krista didn’t find anything she wanted for Christmas from mama….so mama got all of her Christmas shopping done except for Krista. But it was a great shopping trip!!

A Possibility for My Wish List…

I was just browsing the internet (it’s a little slow here at work today) and found something that I might would like….It’s the UGG Mayfaire boot! They are so cute and very comfortable looking. And what I really like is the side zip! No more pulling and tugging to get the boot on. Now my girls are probably thinking that I’ve lost my mind but I think they would feel so good. My favorite color is the ‘Sand’ color. And they can be ordered online (that’s another plus).

Oh well, maybe Santa will get them for me…

Black Friday Shopping

I’m going to be hitting up the sales on Friday and I can’t wait! This day officially starts my Christmas shopping for the year. I’ve got a few ideas…I’m looking for a new digital camera for Krista, a new Shimano fishing reel for Zach and I think I am going to get Dewayne a GPS. I think a GPS would make a great gift for him. I’m looking at the TomTom brand and it would definitely have to be portable, so that he could take it with him. Of course, I’m going to be looking for Kecia (from iamkecia.com) and James something for Christmas too.

A Gift For The Son-In-Law

My kids are always telling me what they want for Christmas but my son-in-law, James usually is not so vocal about what he wants. And if I ask him, he will name of some stuff for his computer and I don’t have a clue about what he is talking about. So this year I’m thinking about getting him some office supplies for his home office. I’m sure that’s something he could use. I know that he could always use some paper, pens and staples…stuff like that. Of course, I will get him something else. Something that’s not so practical and something that’s fun. But what?? I don’t know. Maybe some kind of video game or some cds.
