My mother-in-law’s birthday is coming up in April (I know it’s a few months away) but I always seem to have the hardest time getting her a gift. I mean, she’s a Georgia Bulldogs fan but you can only get her so much Dawgs stuff. I sometimes get her a pedicure but I would like to get her something different. I’ve thought about getting her some patio furniture covers for the pool furniture. That’s something that she could use. There was something that she was saying that she would like to get herself and I thought that it would make a good birthday present. But now I can’t remember what it was. Oh well, maybe I’ll remember it by April.

An LCD TV would make a great gift…I didn’t get one for Christmas. But it would make a great gift and would be the perfect TV for the bedroom. Of course, if I had one for my bedroom, I would definitely have to have a TV wall mount. Because I don’t really have a place to set a TV in my bedroom, so to hang it on the wall would be the perfect solution. So an LCD TV with a wall mount just might be my next purchase and I’m so ready to have a TV in my bedroom!!

With the way that the economy is, it’s hard to think about Christmas shopping. But I have been making my list and I’ve made some cuts. I don’t do a lot of sewing but I have found this free pattern for a little girl’s skirt at www.oliverands.com. And I think I’m going to try and make it for the little girls on my Christmas list. It’s a very simple skirt so I shouldn’t have any problems and I think the little girls will really like them (all these girls like wearing dresses and skirts). Plus I think getting a homemade gift will be more special.
I also make calendars for my daughter, my sister, my mama and my nephews (there’s two of them). I use the pictures that I take all year long to create the calendars and nobody knows what pictures that I’ll be using. I used to make them from scratch by using scrapbook materials but now I usually upload my pictures to Kodak Gallery and then order them there. It’s much easier this way. My family would really miss my calendars if I quit making them.
Does anybody have special gifts that you all make (year after year) for the loved ones on your Christmas lists??

There’s a lady at work that just enrolled in a wine of the month club. She enjoys a glass of wine with dinner or to relax in the evenings with. So this club is just perfect for her. She signed up for a year to get the best value and she will enjoy two bottles of wine each month from California’s best premium wineries. Each month she will receive one bottle of red wine and a bottle of white wine. There’s is also an informative monthly newsletter included. This membership would make a GREAT Christmas gift for anyone who enjoys a glass of wine.

My young nephew will be having his 5th birthday at the end of this month and I haven’t got a clue as to what I will be getting him. He lives about fifty miles away, so it’s not like I see him every day. So I don’t know what he likes. Last year, it was spiderman and the year before that it was Cars. I’m not sure if he likes either of them now. I got his cousin a Build-A-Bear for her birthday (I blogged about it in Aug.) and I thought about taking him to get his own Build-A-Bear. Does anybody know what 5 year old boys like?? My little boy is now 14 (will be 15 in March) so it’s been a long time since I bought things for a younger boy. I might just ask him what he would like…or I might just get him a Build-A-Bear. Who knows…any suggestions, let me know. Thanks!
