Here I go again…

Well, I don’t have a lot of time to get on here anymore. I still work full-time and attend college full-time in the evenings, but sometimes I still find the time on the weekends to just surf the web. And it’s fun, too! So whether I’m looking to find remodeling tips, stainless steel tiles (from my last post) or Ferrari parts. Okay, I’m not in the market for stainless steel tiles or Ferrari parts, but it is still fun to look. Oh, here’s something that I need to be looking for. There’s two old movies that I want to find (a lady at work said that they are the last horror movies that she has seen), but they sounded interesting to me. The first one is “Hush, Hush….Sweet Charlotte” and the other one is “What ever happened to Baby Jane?” I googled them and they didn’t sound like horror movies to me but they did seem interesting. So, I would like to see them. If anyone knows where I can find them, let me know.

This is something different….

I just love surfing the web, and looking at different stuff. I was looking today and I found something different. I found some stainless steel tiles. Now I have heard of porcelain and ceramic tiles but not stainless steel. But what I have looked at, you can used them in some ways that you would use ceramic or porcelain. Such as for backsplashes for the kitchen or bath, fireplace surrounds or accent walls. You use grout with them just like ceramic tiles. And I kept looking and also found copper tiles, too. I think they look really good.

Making Things Easier

I’m always thinking of ways to make my life easier around the house. But I’ve been browsing the internet and found something that would make my husband’s life easier. Of course, we probably couldn’t ever afford it but I’ve been looking at some car lifts. He’s always working on his truck or changing the oil in our cars and having a car lift would make these chores alot easier. He has a building that he could put one in but they are really expensive. I was just thinking it would be something good for him to have.

Wanted: Weight Loss

Yes, I know I have blogged before about losing weight but it is so hard to do. I tell myself I really need to try to start eating healthier and exercising more, but that obviously is too hard to do too. I have all the Weight Watchers books and point counters and several years ago I lost some weight with the program. Maybe I should try it again. The other day, some ladies from work and I were looking at the acai berry and colon cleanse supplement pills and on this website there was a woman from our hometown that was saying she lost 47 lbs. in 3 months with them. But do they work?? And then there’s Fenphedra on another website with people there saying that they lost 12 lbs in 3 days. But does that really work?? And the most important question is, ‘Are these products safe?’ I don’t want to take something that will cause me health problems in the future. I’m going to keep researching and until then I’m going to try really hard to eat healthier and get more exercise.

A Gift for Zach

I was thinking about a gift for Zach (my fourteen year old son) for Christmas. And I’m thinking about getting him a pair of binoculars. He loves the outdoors…always hunting or fishing. I’ve been researching and I’m considering a pair of Nikon binoculars.  They are really rugged, lightweight and they even come in camo, which would be great for use during hunting season. Zach has already asked for a new fishing reel but I always like to get a few gifts that are complete surprises and I think he would absolutely love them.

Spyware???

Have you ever wondered about all the websites that are visited on your computer? If you have, you might consider getting some computer monitoring and keylogger services. These services can keep track of all the internet URLs visited on your computer, the keystrokes that are typed, emails and work duration every time your computer is logged on to the internet. This would be a great way to keep an eye on employees or students and they wouldn’t even know that they are being monitored. Of course, some people might think that these services are a little invasive but then you would know what is being looked at and talked about on your computer.

Planning A Cruise???

11.3.2008 | 3:41 pm | General | Tags: , , , ,

My sister and I were planning on taking our mama on a cruise this year, but with no available vacation days, illness (my sister has had to have surgery this fall) and the lack of funds has made us postpone the trip. But we are trying our best to go on that cruise next year. Our mama has never been on a cruise so we are hoping everything will fall into place. I’ve been looking on the internet for that perfect cruise with an affordable price. What’s really caught my eye is the Mediterranean cruises but we would have to take a shorter one than them. But could you imagine all the cities that you would visit…Rome, Venice, Florence, Gibraltar, and Istanbul. My daughter, Kecia (from iamkecia.com) has been to Rome, Venice and Florence and says that they are absolutely beautiful places to see. I would love to go visit cities that are centuries old. Oh well, maybe someday. Until then I need to be searching for cruises that are in our budget.

What I Learned Today…

The funniest thing just happened…I was browsing online, when I got one of those evil popups (the advertisement wasn’t evil…the popups themselves are :P ). Before I closed it, I read that it was for Side X Side Parts. I had no clue what that is, so I clicked on the link. It brought up a site that sells all kind of miscellaneous parts, including Polaris Ranger RZR  Parts (again, I don’t have a clue!) and on the main page was a photo of what I thought were golf carts. After I read the caption, I learned that they are actually UTV’s…Guess you learn something new every day!
