What is a POP display? Well, Point of Purchase (POP) displays are those cardboard displays in stores that are placed to boost sells by enticing customers to impulsively buy their products. And I have to say, they work. I have bought tons of new items by seeing them on pop displays placed in great locations in the stores. I hate to admit that I do buy things impulsively, and if the product was on a POP display I probably wouldn’t have noticed them. So, to me POP displays to work.

I have been thinking about remodeling our guest bathroom. I have decided on putting ceramic tile on the floor and I have found a great looking vanity at Home Depot. Now I am looking for the perfect sink. I have been searching online and I really like the stone sinks. I just not sure if my husband would want a stone sink, but they look really cool. So now I am trying to find the best price for a stone sink. I just can’t wait to get this job underway. I am excited!!!

This year, we are planning on taking our family vacation a little later in the summer. Krista and I start back to college in mid August and Zach doesn’t start school until the Tuesday after Labor Day. So maybe we won’t have to pay the ‘peak summer’ prices. Which is great! The past four years we have been to Panama City Beach, but this year we might want to go somewhere different. So I’m thinking about Disneyworld. It’s been several years since we have been to Disneyworld, and my family and I just love Disney vacations. There is always so much to do. What are your family’s plans for this year’s vacation??

When you have worked at the same place as long as I have (almost 18 years), you really have a hard time putting together a resume if you should need one. I am now attending college and as I get closer to graduation, I will be needing a resume. I know some people that have been working on their resumes, and when you have worked somewhere for a very long time it is a difficult task. Your previous employers might very well have been over twenty years ago…who knows if that employer is still in business after all those years. And you’re probably not even the same person now (more experienced and more responsible) as you were then. So when I get ready to work on my resume, I definitely feel that it will be a difficult task.

This is so cool!! You can watch television anywhere with Slingbox….on your laptop or mobile phone. Yes, you can watch any cable subscriptions that you have on your home television on your laptop or mobile phone with Slingbox without any monthly fees. For less than $160, you can watch TV anywhere, anytime. To me that is so cool. We like to go camping in the summer and this product would be great to have to take with us. I have looked at the reviews and almost everyone that has one really likes it. If anyone has a Slingbox, let me know how you like it.

Well, I don’t have a lot of time to get on here anymore. I still work full-time and attend college full-time in the evenings, but sometimes I still find the time on the weekends to just surf the web. And it’s fun, too! So whether I’m looking to find remodeling tips, stainless steel tiles (from my last post) or Ferrari parts. Okay, I’m not in the market for stainless steel tiles or Ferrari parts, but it is still fun to look. Oh, here’s something that I need to be looking for. There’s two old movies that I want to find (a lady at work said that they are the last horror movies that she has seen), but they sounded interesting to me. The first one is “Hush, Hush….Sweet Charlotte” and the other one is “What ever happened to Baby Jane?” I googled them and they didn’t sound like horror movies to me but they did seem interesting. So, I would like to see them. If anyone knows where I can find them, let me know.

As I get older, I notice gray hairs, drier skin, and new wrinkles everyday. So, what do I do? Well, for the gray hair….I cover it. So I now have blonde hair, no grays. The drier skin, I have found a good but inexpensive Vitamin E lotion. But for the wrinkles….well, everybody advertises that they have the best wrinkle creams. Now, if I can just find the best cream without buying a ton of the not-so-best wrinkle creams. So I have been asking my friends for recommendations and looking on the web (but there again, everyone on the web is the best). So I would like to know if anyone has a great wrinkle cream that isn’t expensive.
Any suggetions??

In my last post, I talked about horseback riding (an activity that one of my nephews enjoys). Well, to care for a horse is something that I wouldn’t have a clue about. My nephew has all kinds of horse supplies that I don’t even know what they are. I’ve always had dogs for pets and I’m getting a little educated about chickens. My son has developed a big interest in chickens and so I’m learning. He started out with four chickens (3 hens and 1 rooster) and now he has about fifteen to twenty chickens total. But my pet of choice is dogs. And maybe when I get out of college, I might get me a house dog. I know a dog in the house can be a lot of trouble. My daughter and son-in-law have a house dog and it can be troublesome when you want to getaway for the weekend. But dogs can be so much fun. Well, it doesn’t really matter right now, I’ve got four years to think about it.

I’ve been thinking that when I start college (classes start tomorrow) that I might lose some weight. I will be working all day and then leaving there to go to classes right after. So maybe I will shed a few pounds. But I also thought about looking for a good fat burner but they scare me a little bit. So maybe with classes starting and then I’ll be changing my eating habits at dinner time, maybe that will be enough to lose weight. My biggest downfall is the eating that I do in the evenings. I usually stop by my mother-in-law’s house for dinner (she’s a great cook but just not the healthiest) and then later I have a snack (ice cream is a favorite), so now I will be eating a lighter dinner. I’ll be posting about my weight loss (if any). Wish me luck with my weight loss and my classes.

Well, it’s not really amazing, it’s kinda sad. The news can be depressing. On the local news this week, I’ve been hearing about a guy shot to death by the local police. Yes, he had a weapon but they shot about 60 rounds in him. And now there’s an investigation (and my opinion, there should be). I’m not defending the guy…but 55 to 60 rounds. Needless to say, the guy didn’t make it. Another local story, a 5 week old baby girl beatened to death by her intoxicated father. I don’t understand why??? There’s nothing that 5 week old baby could do to deserve that. Maybe that father should meet the cops that I was just talking about. And you hear about car accidents all the time, it’s all so tragic. There’s was a motorcycle accident a couple of months ago, both people (a man and pregnant woman) were killed. I was reading about a Tacoma car accident lawyer and he stated that most of the personal injury lawsuits was from car accidents. And most of them is due to negligence. Well, these are some things that’s been on my mind lately.
