We have been currently updating some of our office equipment at work. We just recently got a new telephone system, and it is great! I have been trained on how to use all the different functions of this system, but the best part is that I have a direct phone line to my desk. We also got a new epson receipt printer and it is great, too. It prints quickly and quietly. Both of these new pieces of equipment is supposed to save us a lot of money, and that is the best reason for making the changes.

An LCD TV would make a great gift…I didn’t get one for Christmas. But it would make a great gift and would be the perfect TV for the bedroom. Of course, if I had one for my bedroom, I would definitely have to have a TV wall mount. Because I don’t really have a place to set a TV in my bedroom, so to hang it on the wall would be the perfect solution. So an LCD TV with a wall mount just might be my next purchase and I’m so ready to have a TV in my bedroom!!

Ok…I don’t want signs everywhere. But I was thinking that at my workplace it sure would be nice to have some digital signage. There could be all kinds of announcements put on the signs. My employer could alert the salespeople of meetings, price changes, or any orders that need filled. The sign could even announce the birthdays for that day. Spotlighting an employee of the month with a photo on the screen would be very uplifting and boost morale. We could have a sign on the sales floor, in the clerical department and out in the warehouse. The signs could be hung from the ceiling or mounted on the wall whichever way that would be best for the area. I just think digital signage would be very motivational for all of our employees.

A friend and I were chatting the other day, when all of a sudden she vanished. Yahoo Messenger said she had logged off. When she finally returned a few hours later, she was mad about her Internet going down. She really has some crappy Internet service. I recommended business satellite Internet, especially since she works online from home. It’s not good to go down for hours when you have deadlines to meet. Also, I told her she could offer live satellite webcasting for her employees…I think it would be easier than telephone seminars and things like that…
