Yeah, it’s really, really cold outside. This morning, it was ten degrees here in Georgia and the wind chill made it feel like six below zero. Brrrrr, that’s cold. I know people from the north live through this every winter but all of us here in the south just isn’t used to it. Looking outside it’s all pretty and sunny (not a cloud in the sky) but go outside and you feel the artic blast. I am ready for the warmer weather. How cold is it where you live??
Well, we have been having a lot of rain lately and it’s been raining again today. But at least we haven’t been having a lot of snow and cold weather like some cities in the country. I have been reading that some cities were expected to have about seven to eight inches of snow dropped on them today. Now, Krista would just love that (she’s always wanting it to snow) but for the rest of us around here in Georgia, we would have a hard time getting around. For instance, I don’t think having snow tires and tire chains would help me. I’m always nervous when there is just a little ice on the roads and sometimes I don’t go to work then. Krista doesn’t remember the big blizzard of 1993, but I sure do. And I’m not ready for a repeat performance. I guess it is good that I live in the south where I don’t have to worry about such things. I hope everyone stays warm and snow-free.
Yesterday, I had to get up early to take Zach to meet the bus for the first wrestling tournament of the year. And boy was it cold out…he had to be there before 7:30 am. This is how cold it was by the thermometer on my van…
That’s right it was 18 degrees. Now to some of you that might not be too cold but for the south that’s really cold. And here’s a picture of some chicken houses that I passed along the way, the heat had just kicked on and look at the steam. Yes, I was driving down the road as I took this picture but it’s a small country road and was deserted at that time of the morning.
It was a little warmer today…it was 30 degrees this morning. But it cooled off this afternoon since some rain is supposed to move in tonight or tomorrow.
Oh well, I already miss the warmer weather.
