It all began Friday afternoon with the homecoming parade and it just got busier from there. We had our homecoming game (which we lost but I won’t go there) and the homecoming ceremony was really pretty. The band was awesome!! Yes, I’m a band parent. Saturday I got some things done around the house and then headed out for the two hour drive to our BIGGEST band competition!! There the band did their routine perfectly….the kids really put their heart and souls in it. And all the effort (and practicing) really paid off!! They placed FIRST in band and brought home the BIG trophy (it’s about six feet tall). To say that they were estatic is an understatement. This is what the big trophy looks like.

I’m so proud of the band this year. They have done a really great job. They have another competition this Saturday. I hope they do just as good there.
Today, I went with my sister and my nephew’s fiance to look at the wedding site and it was a beautiful place. It’s beside a creek with a lot of trees. The wedding is next year in the spring so everything will be in bloom. I can’t wait!
Well, it’s time to start getting ready for work tomorrow.

I have been really busy the past few days. Thursday evening I had to get stuff ready for the yard sale (that we had today). Friday evening I went to the football game (that we lost…47-10). And today we (the girls and I) had a yard sale. Kecia and James did pretty good at the yard sale but I didn’t do so good (got rid of some stuff but didn’t make a lot of money). But that’s ok.
This evening I went to Elvis’ wedding. Really. Okay, it was an Elvis impersonator’s wedding (he does shows in Pigeon Forge, TN) and it was a really nice wedding. It was my friend’s (and co-worker) daughter’s wedding. And no, the wedding couple wasn’t dressed like Elvis and Priscilla. But I think all that attended had a great time. We danced (I really like the Cha-Cha Slide) and ate too much food and cake. I am really glad I went.
But now I’m really tired and about ready for bed. But one more thing, I really like dancing to the Cha-Cha Slide (and I’m not a dancer). What songs do you like to dance to or do you dance???

A friend’s daughter is getting married in a few weeks and she was needing some personalized napkins for the reception. I told her about an ebay seller that I buy all of my personalized napkins from…the seller’s name is memorablewedding. The seller is located in Florida but she ships anywhere and I have always received my orders really fast! I have always been very pleased with the napkins that I have ordered for weddings and birthdays (I just ordered some for my mom’s 80th birthday party in May and was extremely happy)! I’m going to be ordering again for Krista’s graduation party in May ‘09. There’s a bunch of different colors of napkins to choose from as well as different colors of print to go on the napkins. The seller states that they print and ship over 70,000 napkins a week, that’s a lot of satisfied customers!!

One of my online friends is tying the knot soon, so when I was chatting with her the other day, we got to talking about wedding things. She said she had been looking at some mens wedding bands, but she is not sure what her fiance would like. She really likes the titanium rings, but thinks he would like the tungsten wedding bands better. I think the two of them should go ring shopping together…that’s what Kecia and James did. Dewayne and I didn’t, as he didn’t care what the rings looked like!
